Men with a Mission

Description of Flow

  1. When a need comes from the community or through Love INC
    • Need from community calls Love INC Clearinghouse 224-9599.

  2. Is this a MWAM serving opportunity?
    • Love INC volunteer assesses client’s need.  If it is an MWAM potential project, volunteer gives to Clearinghouse Director Kathy McIlhargey.

  3. Assessing and verifying the request.
    • Kathy makes 1st assessment if this request is a MWAM project then, involves the MWAM Project Coordinator Jerry Owens.  Jerry then asks a Project Assessor to go to the site and meet with the client.  Project Assessor makes no commitment to client at this time.
    • MWAM Project Assessor discusses client’s need with Jerry to determine whether to go forward or not.
  1. Involving the Key Man at your church.
    • Jerry contacts MWAM church Key Man and discusses need, if Key Man says yes to the project, Jerry contacts client and gives them the name of a church Key Man and tells them he will contact them.
    • Jerry faxes or emails Project Assessor’s evaluation form to church Key Man.

  2. Mobilizing your men to serve.
    • Key Man contacts church Project Foreman or Team Captain to find a lead person.
    • Project Foreman/lead person contacts client, sets a date to do the project, and then contacts Team Captain for manpower.
    • Church Key Man follows through to see project to completion.
    • When project is completed MWAM Key Man or the client writes a summary of the results of the project and the men who served.  Summary is then sent to the pastor of the MWAM team for bulletin announcement, sermon illustration and so on.  A picture can go along way to show how God is using your men to minister to those in need.

  3. Once completed the Key Man informs Jerry Owens the MWAM Project Coordinator.

  4. God is glorified!
